Worms was the first show of three in a row - not day by day, but close to this way. First was Worms, followed by Taormina at the 16th of July and the last was Palermo at the 18th of July!
For me this journey was a very small and short but beautiful, very beautiful holiday time for this year!
Okay, let’s begin with Worms.
I travelled by train, because the second part of this journey i did together with Babara and Andreas, my “Simple Minds-friends” from Hannover.
For the trip by train there was a little trouble, delays and i lost the following train, but at last i arrived in Worms at 4 p.m. and that was early enough to check in the hotel and went to the venue without any hectic or stress.
I’ve met Barbara and Andreas at the hotel and the other followers at the “door”, Doris, Patrick, Merve, Alex, and many others! It was warm, a little bit windy, but easy to wait for. The time passed by very fast!
When the door opened we all got the places in the front row and without a support band the Minds came onstage soon, only another hour and a half to wait! :-)
And because of the missing support act (i think) there was more time for the Minds to play. At last they played a 18 song set with “Book of Brilliant Things”, for example.
But we were in “Rheinland-Pfalz” and like in Mainz, we were not allowed to make pictures - what a pity - nobody knows why.
So the following pictures are not mine, they were “stolen” from the website of the city.
The show was great, the Minds played in a very good mood. Maybe for them it was the last big “rehearsal” for Taormina, they played very enthusiastic. We had lots of fun and after the show we saw many happy faces around!
