The SIMPLE MINDS are my very favorite Band!

I saw them first in 1984, but I haven’t any memories to this first concert, may they haven’t impressed me at that time. 19 years later, in summertime 2003 I saw them again live. It was a small but beautiful venue (Hohentwiel/Singen) and the gig was a fun, but not more. Just another good concert, I saw.

In the autumn of the same year I saw them at the third time. And all the good things came three times. They really impressed me. It was a perfect concert.

The sound - perfect, the music - perfect, the crowd - perfect, the band - perfect.
They got me!
Now I’m infected!
 

In November and December 2008 the Simple Minds celebrated a few concerts for their 30th anniversary.

So i had to go for a few gigs as well. I was in Manchester, Birmingham, London and Glasgow. Check out the buttons on the left site for the complete gigs!

Unfortunately, at these concerts I had my place always very far behind, far from the stage, so, I don’t have good photos, but as a recollection they are good enough. The same is for my recordings, the venues were too big for my small microphone, but hey, it’s only to help to remember the shows...

So, please, are not too hard with your judgment. :-)

Just when I was back home, the Simple Minds announced a very special show at Edinburgh Castle at the 18th July 2009 and a few days later they announced six German summer shows to celebrate their 30th anniversary.

12th June 2009 in Bonn
16th June 2009 in Berlin
17th June 2009 in Hamburg
19th June in Bielefeld !!! - Another “Hometown Gig” for me!
20th June 2009 in Munich.

So I’ll be ready for the shows and I’ll be there, at each one for sure!!!
