The Concert in Kiel was a free gig without tickets! So it was a “must” to be there! :-) I had a half time job at work managed and drove the “short” way from 350 km in three and a half hour! A very good time at a friday afternoon at German motorways!!!! I was at the venue at 5:30 p.m. but the summer was already gone in Germany. When i was there and said “Hello” to Sandra and Tina a few minutes later a hard rain came down, but i had a ugly raincoat in my bag. It wasn’t nice to wait in this rain. But what should we do? We waited - as usual! The venue had two entrees and the securities were differ about the opening time. The one at Sandras side opened the door, but the one at our (Tina & me) opened the entree at last after we got a phone call from Sandra with which she asked where we were, because she was already in. But it doesn’t matter, because at the opening time there weren’t many people. So we all got “our” place in the front row! Between the stage and the first row was a big trench, someone said this area were for the photographs and maybe for disabled people in wheelchairs. But a little bit later, i think it was the German tour organizer, a man said we could go in this area and hey, we did and got a place directly in front of the stage, but it was a little bit chaotic, so Tina, Sandra and Ralf were at the very right side and i was near to the middle. Anyway, we all were in the front row again!
The rain stopped and the show began and Jim came straight ahead in my direction and suddenly he shook my hand and said “Hello” to me - wow, what a nice surprise! He made me speechless! :-)
The concert was much shorter than in Luxemburg, Hamburg or Bonn, but it was a very good show, the Minds were in a very good mood and the crowd as well. At the beginning from the show, it seemed (for me) the crowd were a little bit slow, lame and reserved, but this was wrong, at last they changed into a very good and enthusiastic crowd! After the show when we took a drink, many people went past and sang the chorus about “Home” and “Don't You” !
