The next show was the day after in Hamburg. It was still not really summertime, but it was a sunny afternoon in Hamburg. I arrived again very late at the venue, because of terrible traffic. The support band ‘Born’ already played when I found my place on the right side of the second row.
This venue looked like it was sold out, but the crowd wasn’t so good as the day before. Are the North Germans really not so quick enthusiasticly and also not to arouse quickly? For me it seemed so. But the band was in a good mood and they played a very good show. It was the same set as they played in Bonn, they only change the position from ‘Belfast Child’ and ‘Book Of Brilliant Things’. Ralf, Babara, Andreas and me, we had a lot of fun during the show, because Jim was not really on the stage. Most of the time he walked/danced/jumped at the green which was between the stage and the crowd. It was funny to see him running at the green and shaking hands with the crowd. This was the right place for him to be near to the crowd! :-) And it seemed that he loved every minute to be there!
It was again a 20 song and 2 hours set and it was again a marvellous show. I know why i’m travelling so many kilometres for the shows. Each gig is a brilliant gig these days. The Minds are more than 'back again'. For me it seems they are reborn and they are more enthusiastic than some, or better, most of the new young bands which fulfills the charts with their atrocious music!
