This day i had a 4 hours journey from Stuttgart to Düsseldorf, but i needed 5 hours because of much traffic on the road. But it was ok. After arriving at the venue i met many “crazy” fans again and after a few hours of waiting in the cold (yes, it was still cold in Germany!) i got a place in the second row. Nearby were a few Italians who shouted out very loud, but i hoped they stoped talking and shouting when the Simple Minds would be on stage. The venue was too small in my opinion for a Simple Minds concert. Too many people were there to see the Minds and there was no space for only one more person - sold out in the most true sense! But it was this what the Minds wanted with this tour, to be close to the crowd, and in this way it was a good location. And the Minds became better and better, show after the show. They really enjoyed to be again on the road, and there was no tiredness. They have got a power and energy - incredibly! It was a marvellous gig again, and the Italians nearby enjoyed the show like myself! Again nearly 2 hours with a good crowd and a good band what I needed more to feel myself again at 'home' - nothing! After the show many of the “Die-Hard-Fans” met up in the foyer and the Bass-Player from Born was also there. It was nice to chatted with him, and what should I say?! After seeing “Born”, the Dutch support band, 7 times I can say that I like their music. Ok, sometimes it’s too easy to liked someone especially when you see him over and over again at many times and this maybe has happened with “Born”! But two songs i really like very well! :-) Late after midnight i was in my cheap hotel to rest for the next show. Next day in Mainz! Kerstin 04/06/06
